The online game is not loading correctly or seems to freeze during play. What should I do?

  • The first thing we recommend is that you clear the information that is currently being stored in your web browser cache and the Unity Web Player cache. To do so, follow these steps:
    1. Clear your web browser cache.
      1. Using Internet Explorer(IE), go to Tools -> Delete Browsing History -> click on Temporary Internet Files -> Delete
      2. Using FireFox, go to Tools -> Clear Private Data -> click Cache -> Clear Private Data
    2. Clear your Unity Web Player cache by clicking the button below.
    If the issue is not resolved by following the steps above please re-install the Unity Web Player (our 3D engine) by clicking here or contact our customer support team.

Which payment methods do you accept?

  • Math Blaster accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, or check cards connected with one of the major credit card companies previously listed. You can safely enter your entire credit card number via our secure server, which encrypts all submitted information.

Is there a family or group rate?

  • Yes! Math Blaster membership is for your whole family and everyone can play for the same price. Up to six kids can be added under one membership account, each with a personalized avatar and records.

What is your refund policy?

  • Math Blaster memberships are non-refundable.

How do I cancel my membership?

  • To cancel your membership, please send an email to support@jumpstart.com and make sure to include the email address the account is under.

How soon will the cancellation take effect?

  • Your cancellation will take effect immediately and you will not be charged any additional membership fees.

How do I change my method of payment?

  • Log in to MathBlaster.com and access the Parents tab. Select Billing Info, enter your desired method of payment and click Update Info.

How do I change my membership from monthly to a yearly membership?

  • To change your membership, simply cancel your recurring monthly membership and purchase the new membership package of your choice.

How do I cancel my membership?

  • To cancel your membership, please send an email to support@jumpstart.com and make sure to include the email address the account is under.

Will my membership automatically renew?

  • Monthly and yearly memberships will automatically renew.

My membership has expired. How do I renew my membership?

  • Log in to MathBlaster.com and click the Membership link in the top navigation and purchase the membership package of your choice.

What are the system requirements to play in the virtual world at MathBlaster.com?

  • For both PC and Mac, the game requires:
    • 1.5Mbps broadband connection
    • 1GB system memory
    • 64MB video memory
    • 1 GB available on hard drive
    • At least 40MB of browser cache available
    • In addition, on a Mac, the game requires OS X 10.3.9 or newer

MMO/Multiple Avatar Answers

MathBlaster.com allows players to interact with each other through chat, actions, and emoticons preselected and approved by Math Blaster. For more information on this safe, optional feature, please see the answers to common questions below.

Is MMO Safe?

  • YES, player interaction in Math Blaster is completely safe. There are two modes of chat, both of which are designed to keep your child safe. Safe Menu Chat allows players to communicate using only a limited list of questions, answers, greetings, and phrases preselected by Math Blaster. This is our default and most restricted mode of chat. Safe Type Chat allows players to type in and send their own messages, as long as all parts of these messages appear in our database of approved words and phrases. This mode must be activated by a parent. Please note: Safety is our top priority at MathBlaster.com, and we are constantly improving and evolving our chat database, but messages that may be offensive to some players may get through the filters in Safe Type Mode. Since parents know their kids best, we ask that you select the perfect level of interaction for your child.

Can I turn this feature (MMO) on and off?

  • YES, once you are logged-in, under the Parents section of MathBlaster.com, there is a Manage Kids button that allows you to enable or disable MMO and Safe Type Chat for each child on your account separately.

Can I turn off the display name above my cadet's head? Can I turn off the name over other cadets' heads?

  • YES! Click on the communicator button located in the bottom right corner of the game window. At the top there is an Options button which allows you to enable or disable the display of names above the cadets’ heads for your cadet as well as all other players in the game.

How can my children add buddies to their B.F.F. List?

There are two ways your child can add buddies to their B.F.F. List.

  • Log in to MathBlaster.com and access the Parents tab. Select Manage Kids to find each child’s unique B.F.F. code to exchange with real-life friends. Enter a friend’s B.F.F. code in the box at the bottom of the page to add that friend to your child’s B.F.F List and an invitation will be sent for approval.
  • Your children can also add B.F.F.s within the online game. To do this, your kids can click on another player to pull up his or her player card. Then, they can click on the “Add B.F.F.” icon to invite the player to be a B.F.F.!

Is it safe for my children to add buddies to their B.F.F. List?

  • Yes! Adding buddies to your children’s B.F.F. List is completely safe and optional. To ensure safety, player interaction in Math Blaster is limited to pre-programmed chat, actions, and emoticons or parent-activated Safe Type Chat in which players can type and send their own messages as long as all parts of these messages appear in our database of approved words and phrases. Only players with parent-approved Safe Type Chat are able to see messages sent with Safe Type Chat. In addition, your child will have the option of accepting or declining B.F.F. requests from other players if they would like to add your child to their B.F.F. List.

What can my children do with their B.F.F. List?

  • When your kids are playing in Math Blaster, they can click on the B.F.F. List icon to see which of their friends are online. Then they can click on “Invite” or “Visit” to meet up with them and explore the Math Blaster world together!
