Kids begin to use math concepts much before they even realize it. There are umpteen resources for kindergarten math activities available online. These activities keep in mind the developmental characteristics of kindergartners and the math goals for 4 – 6-year-olds.
Some of the important milestones that most kindergartners must reach include counting to 100; reading and writing to 10; understanding time – today, tomorrow, yesterday, afternoon, night, and even telling time to the hour; basic measurements – being able to compare what is bigger or smaller or heavier; recognize shapes – circles, rectangles, triangles, squares, etc.
