Multiplication Word Problems
Multiplication story problems are multiplication problems presented through a story. To solve the problem, one must read the story and figure out what math equation will help find the answer to the question asked at the end of the story. The story is usually about an everyday occurrence that children are likely to be familiar with. Multiplication story problems are more commonly called multiplication word problems. In order to solve multiplication word problems, children need reading and comprehension skills in addition to multiplication skills. They should be able to understand how multiplication is used in everyday situations. Some multiplication word problems require more thought than others to solve. Solving many different multiplication word problems will familiarize kids with the different ways in which word problems must be solved. This will make it easy for the kid to solve even difficult word problems independently.
