Number Patterns is an activity that will help students understand multiplication better. Teachers can plan a lesson on multiplication around this activity, as it is centered around certain basic aspects of multiplication. Students are not learning their multiplication tables in this activity; rather, they are understanding what multiplication is about, and how products are related to each other. Students can use the colored tables to learn the multiplication tables on their own.
