‘If I Owned a Bullet Train’ is a fun proportions activity that explores what it would be like to get around the city on a bullet train. Using the maximum operating speed of the Shikansen, the first bullet train in the world, as an example, sixth graders calculate how long it would take them to travel the routes that they normally do.
