Picture the Ratios
A ratio tells you how much there is of one thing compared to another. It can be depicted in 3 different ways:
1. Writing it like a fraction – 3/1
2. Using ‘:’ to distinguish between the values – 3:1
3. Using the word ‘to’ instead of a ‘:’ – 3 to 1
