Decorating for Easter

When you think of spring, which characteristics of the season do you love most? Try bringing what you and your family love about the season indoors, with bright and refreshing colors and fresh spring flowers. Further involve your kids in decorating by allowing them to put their own unique and creative touches around your home with their crafts. Their handmade creations will serve as the perfect centerpiece or accents for your Easter table. Have them create a piece for each guest you plan on attending, and have them count and manage what they create.

Kid’s Crafts

As is the same with decorating, ask your kids what they love most about spring. Tie those ideas in to the traditional symbols of Easter, like bunnies, and have them create their unique twist on their seasonal favorites. For example, Origami bunnies are easy for little ones to learn shapes and proportions when folding.

Spread the Season’s Spirit

Kids can also create favors for their classmates at school or for your guests during Easter. Try using supplies you already have at home to create an Easter grab bag. Regular envelops or even paper bags are perfect to decorate into bunnies just by adding a couple of ears made of paper and drawing a bunny face. Fill the envelops or bags with sweets and even some non-edible goodies like little erasers and pencils. Your kids will love handing out these bunny buddies as they help to spread the excitement and joy of spring.

Create a Family Friendly Easter Brunch

If you are planning a family gathering for brunch, make things easy for yourself and your whole family by keeping things laid back. Create a buffet style setting where kids and adults can both grab and eat as they please. Try preparing most of your Easter menu ahead of time to avoid last minute chaos. This will help keep you out of the kitchen and into the mix and mingling of the party. Recruit your Blasters to help set up the table and count the supplies like utensils and plates that you will need to entertain your guests.

Enjoy the warming weather of this colorful spring season and gain inspiration from our ideas to kick-start your Easter celebration!
